Miniature Horse National Championship Results
Tulsa, Okla., Nov. 4, 2005 -- The 2005 American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR) National Championship Show made history again with record participation. This year's AMHR National Championship, September 9-17, topped last year's record with more than 5300 entries, making the show the largest miniature horse shows in history. The Miniature Horses won over $50,000 in cash and prizes.
"We had a number of notable events take place during the show this year," said Johnny Robb, AMHR marketing director. "We had excitement from day one, with country singer, Clay Walker and his family at the show."
Walker's daughter, McClay won the Youth 8-12 year old Halter Gelding National Championship with her Miniature, Fort Storey's Champagne Corker.
According to McClay's mom, Lori Walker, "Corker was a Christmas present last year and since then the girls (McClay and Skylor) are just in love with Miniature Horses. The Miniature Horses give them a lot of self confidence because they are easy to handle and so much fun."
Along with new Champions being recognized, two of the Miniature Horse scene's favorites were retired at the show. Jim and Arlyn Storey retired their National Champion Roadster mare Fort Storey's Country Crystal after a long and successful career.
Meanwhile, Trainer Belinda Bagby showed Mike and Lisa Stassle's stallion B&L's Rock E Red Alert to another National Champion Stallion title and then retired the him at the show in a touching ceremony.

"After 19 consecutive Grand Championships, Rock E had proven he is the top stallion", said Bagby.
