In April 2002, Gina Miles rode her partner McKinlaigh to an eleventh place finish at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI**** in Lexington, KY. Earlier in the year, the pair placed sixth at the North American Beaulieu Classic CIC***.

She acquired McKinlaigh at the Punchestown Young Horse Sale in Ireland. In 2001, Miles and McKinlaigh competed at the two-star level and won the Dalway Down Horse Trials CIC**. She also completed the Fair Hill International CCI***. In 2001, Miles rode Skywalker IV to a second place at the Jackson Hole Horse Trials CIC***.

She and her husband, Morgan, have a three-year-old son, Austin.
