In 2001, Lisa Wilcox became the first non-European to enter the top 10 of the BCM FEI World Dressage Riders Rankings, standing fifth. Most recently, she was the top American dressage rider at Aachen, finishing fourth.

She has earned her Bereiter certificate and is a licensed riding instructor, riding six to seven horses daily. Over the past year, she has won the Grand Prix Championship in Zwolle, the Netherlands, took third at Dortmund, Germany, and won the Kur at Bremen.

Wilcox relocated from the U.S. to Germany, where she trains with Ernst Hoyos of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria. She has more than 40 wins at Grand Prix level. She qualified for the team through competition in Europe, rather than the selection trials in the U.S.
