Does your horse have a single round swirl, centrally located, like this horse's? Or does he have more than one, higher up or lower down, and/or shaped differently?

As it turns out, many horsemen do believe in the predictive value of hair swirls and other physical characteristics, such as coat color.

Now we'd like to hear about your horse. Please email us at HorseandRider@EquiNetwork.com and tell us the following about him or her:

Age:
Breed:
Use--what you do with him/her:
Description of forehead swirl(s):
Description of any other notable swirls or cowlicks on the rest of his/her body:
Coat color:
Description of his/her general temperament:
Your name:
Your state of residence:
Your email address:

Thank you! Look for a follow-up on this topic in a future issue of H&R. And for more information on some of the experts quoted in our "What's In A Whorl" feature, read Temple Grandin: Horses in Translation, The Linda Tellington-Jones Story and Good Reasons for Bad Behavior.
