2008 George Morris Horsemastership Schedule
View the schedule of events that are open to the public during the 2008 George Morris Horsemastership Training Session, January 22-26, in Wellington, Fla.

The 2008 George Morris Horsemastership Training Session will be held at the South Grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (formerly Littlewood Farm) in Wellington, Fla. The session's aim is to help create complete "horsemasters" and a pipeline of riders for future U.S. teams (find out who this year's participants are).

There is no fee for auditors, however, a donation to the USET Foundation is appreciated. The schedule of events and locations are subject to change without notice. All events listed below are open to the public.

  • 11:15 a.m., Mounted session with George Morris - flat work Group II (South Grounds Grand Prix Ring)

  • 8 a.m., Mounted Session with George Morris - Jumping (course) - group I (South Grounds Grand Prix Ring)
  • 10:15 a.m., Mounted Session with George Morris - Jumping (course) - group II (South Grounds Grand Prix Ring)

    Directions to the South Grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center: Take the Florida Turnpike to Lake Worth Road. Go west crossing over 441, 5 miles to South Shore Blvd, turn left (south), go approximately 1 mile to 50th Street, turn right (West). Follow road as it curves to the right then straight into the showgrounds.

    From 1-95: Take exit 49. Go west on Forest Hill Blvd 11 miles to South Shore Blvd. Turn left and continue on South Shore Blvd. Turn right (west) on 50th Street. Follow road as it curves to the right then straight into the showgrounds.

    The event is hosted by Bates Saddles and Stadium Jumping. It is supported by the U.S. Equestrian Federation, USET Foundation, U.S. Hunter Jumper Association, Purina Mills, Practical Horseman magazine and the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament.
