Avoid Round Poles

Poles that are placed on the ground should have a flat side so that they don’t roll if they are stepped on.? Wooden milled rails, such as those in the picture, are ideal.? Round rails, and especially lightweight plastic rails, should be avoided, because they can easily cause a twisted ankle or a stumble.? This applies to rails used for ground work, such as walking and trotting, and those for jumping, such as placing poles and ground lines.
