Two George Morris Jumping Exercises

From a 2005 clinic with equitation and jumping expert George Morris, here are two exercises you can set up in your own ring.

In a December 2005 clinic series with U.S. show jumping team chef d’equipe George Morris, the following exercises were part of the first day’s work for students of Southern California trainer Karen Healey riding in the 3-foot-6 group.
For a complete account of George’s teachings at the 2005 clinics, see “It’s Equitation, by George!” in the June 2006 issue of Practical Horseman magazine. And be sure to read the two-part series on George’s early 2007 Florida clinic for nationally top-ranked young riders in “It All Comes Down to Horsemanship” in the April and May 2007 issues.
