Warming A Winter’s Day: Dressage Horse Brentina’s Video

We got more snow today. Unbelievably. Even earning the title of “Snowiest City in New York.” Yuck. And it’s cold, so even with an indoor arena I’m grounded.

Maybe it’s just as well, as I’ve decided I need to get rid of the winter softness and get fit again. That means logging a lot of boring hours on the treadmill or spinning. Lately the treadmill works better for me. But I can’t read and walk at the same time (no, I can’t chew gum at the same time either). However, I can watch the television.

So to start me off and really get me really determined to get fit and improve my own riding, I drag out my World Cup 2005 DVD and watch Brentina and Debbie McDonald musical freestyle. Over and over. (Do you have a favorite? Let us know, and we can share that, too.)

If you’ve seen it, I’ll bet you’ll enjoy it again. And if you haven’t, well, you’re in for a treat. It proves that if we want to increase the interest in dressage, we need more awesome freestyles set to fun (not classical) music.
