As part of Dressage Today‘s Book Club, Janet Foy presented a webinar on her book Dressage For The Not-So-Perfect Horse.
Janet, an FEI 4* and USEF “S” dressage judge as well as an accomplished rider with USDF bronze, silver and gold medals, covered riding through the levels on the peculiar, opinionated, complicated mounts we love. She discussed her approach to dressage and how it relates to the topics in her book, including the rider, movements and gaits. In addition, she answered questions from readers and highlighted some of her favorite sections for further discussion.
Janet’s diverse background as a judge and competitor has exposed her to countless “not-so-perfect” dressage horses over the years. She is a former member of the USDF Executive Board and USEF Board of Directors, and is currently a member of the USEF International High Performance Dressage Committee. She is also on the USDF “L” Education Program faculty and instructs judges’ training programs throughout the United States. She is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
