Millions of Americans enjoy recreational and trail riding each year. The American Horse Council (AHC) works to make sure that equestrians have access to America?s public land now and continue to have access in the future.
As an equestrian, you need well maintained trails and other facilities to take full advantage of recreational opportunities on public land. The AHC supports adequate funding for the National Park Service, Forest Service, and BLM so they have the resources to build and maintain trails. The AHC is currently working to save the Recreational Trails Program that has provided money for thousands of state and local trail projects around the country.
