Downunder Horsemanship Partners with Make-A-Wish? North Texas

February 20, 2012–Downunder Horsemanship announces its partnership with Make-A-Wish North Texas in an effort to help grant? wishes for children fighting life-threatening medical conditions.

The North Texas chapter serves 161 counties in North Texas and granted nearly 500 wishes last year alone. The average cost of a wish is estimated at $7,000 and nearly 1,200 children across the region will be diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition this year. With a large monetary contribution, Downunder Horsemanship is pleased to support the nation?s largest wish-granting organization.

Downunder Horsemanship first became involved with the foundation last year when Clinton helped grant the wish of a young equestrian who dreamed of spending an entire day with him riding and talking about horses. ?That experience touched me personally, and the more I learned about Make-A-Wish and what they do, I felt strongly that Downunder Horsemanship should get involved,? Clinton says. ?While Downunder Horsemanship is committed to inspiring the dreams of horsemen, Make-A-Wish works just as diligently to keep children and their families inspired.?

Downunder Horsemanship has chosen Make-A-Wish North Texas as its annual charity of choice for 2012 and beyond.
