Active Interest Media Equine Network wins 14 American Horse Publications Awards for material published in 2009, including eight first-place awards.

June 28, 2010 — Active Interest Media Equine Network’s magazines and website EquiSearch.com won 14 awards at the American Horse Publications (AHP) Awards Banquet in Lexington, Ky., on June 19, for material published in 2009.

Held since 1974, the AHP Annual Awards Contest recognizes excellence in equine publishing. Participation in this year’s contest represented 97 AHP members and 782 entries. Twenty-three professional judges placed the classes and provided critiques for all entries.

AIM Equine Network picked up eight first-place awards, including three for EquiSearch.com, two for EQUUS magazine, two for Horse & Rider magazine and one for Practical Horseman magazine.

“As we forge ahead through these economic times, the editors of our equine group continue to strive toward journalistic excellence,” said AIM Equine Network General Manager Tom Winsor. “I’m proud of the quality that our magazines and websites offer and of the awards they received in this year’s AHP ceremony.”
