January 6, 2011 — World famous for raising the bar in safety, Charles Owen & Company is celebrating its 100th year as a leading British manufacturer of riding helmets and body protectors.
When Charles Owen himself founded the company in 1911, his mission was to make products for a safer world. Under the direction of Charles Owen’s grandson, Roy Burek, the mission has remained the same, but has extended its reach to all parts of the globe.
To mark its centennial year, Charles Owen will be unveiling a brand new look, which will be rolled out throughout 2011. Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen & Company, highlighted its significance: “This is an extremely exciting time for Charles Owen; we have lots of amazing projects in the pipeline to mark our 100th year.
“Charles Owen has grown to be an internationally recognized brand with nearly 70% of our British made products being exported. We are marking this point in our history with a new logo. It is modern and contemporary, without losing the feel of our heritage and quality that has become synonymous with Charles Owen.”
