Dover Saddlery Rings NASDAQ Opening Bell

Dover Saddlery CEO Stephen Day rang the NASDAQ's opening bell today to celebrate the company's initial public offering.

March 30, 2006 — Stephen Day, CEO of Dover Saddlery, Inc. (NASDAQ: DOVR), presided over today’s opening bell at NASDAQ to celebrate the company’s initial public offering. Dover Saddlery went public on Nov. 18, 2005.

Day was joined at the podium by international show jumper Georgina Bloomberg, her father New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Olympic dressage bronze medalist Lisa Wilcox, Olympic eventing gold medalist David O’Connor and others.

After the opening, Day and O’Connor posed for photographs on horseback in front of the NASDAQ building.

Dover Saddlery also reported today that it has executed a lease relating to a store site in Sparks, Baltimore County, Md. The Dover Saddlery retail store will consist of approximately 8,000 sq. feet of retail space and is scheduled for a late summer opening.

Dover Saddlery is an upscale specialty retailer and direct marketer of equestrian products. The company’s specialty is English-style riding gear, and its selection features riding apparel, tack, and stable supplies, as well as horse health care products. The company was founded in 1975 by U.S. Equestrian Team members.
