Craig Schmersal has won four National Reining Horse Association Open World Championships and two American Quarter Horse Association Open World titles. His career earnings have made him the youngest rider on the National Reining Horse Association Top 25 Lifetime Money Earnings list. He is also the only California trainer so ranked.

Craig trained the top two money earners in Category 1 reining, Hall Of Famer Cee Blair Sailor, and three-time World Champion Side Smoke. Craig also traveled to Germany in 1994 and won Europe’s largest National Reining Horse Association event, The Americana.

Tidal Wave Jack is a National Reining Breeders Classic Reserve Champion, with finals qualifications at the NRHA Futurity and Derby.

Craig trains both reining and working cow horses in Menifee, California, where he lives with his wife Ginger and their two sons, Chris and Nick. He has a lifetime earning of $396,543.55.
