In the winter of 2001 and 2002 Chester Weber competed in Europe at many of the FEI World Cup competitions, placing well in each competition against some of the world’s strongest competitors. In the summer of 2002 he helped the U.S to a second-place finish at CAIO/CAIP-A Breda in the Netherlands, where he finished 8th as an individual. The next week he went on to CAI-A Riesenbeck where he placed 4th.

In 2001, he won the Advanced Four-In-Hand Divisions at both the Basingstoke Combined Driving Event, Old Town, FL, and the Treasure Coast CDE, Fort Pierce, FL. He was one of 10 international drivers invited to compete at the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) Indoor World Cup of Driving competition in Stockholm, Sweden, an event he won.

A Cornell University graduate, Weber is the youngest driver ever to qualify for a World Pairs Driving Championship. He was 18 when he qualified for the 1993 World Pair Driving Championship in Gladstone, NJ, at which he won the presentation class. At the 1997 Pairs Driving World Championship in Riesenbeck, Germany, Weber was a member of the sixth-place USET squad.

In 2000, Weber represented the United States in the World Four-In-Hand Championship in Wolfsburg, Germany.

During 1999, Weber began his four-in-hand career with an impressive victory at the Georgia International CDE. He later went on to post wins in the Advanced pair division, earning a spot on the U.S. Equestrian Team for the World Pairs Driving Championship in Kecskemet, Hungary. There, Weber placed eighth individually, the best finish for a U.S. driver, and led the team to a fifth-placed standing. He finished his season with a notable second-placed performance in the USET Four-In-Hand Championship at the Fair Hill International in Maryland

Weber won the 1998 Cosequin/USET Pairs Championship, his second championship title in three years. In 1997, he was victorious in the Advanced Pair division at Live Oak Combined Driving Event and the Myopia Driving Event in Massachusetts.

In 1996, Weber won the Pair Horse Division at Harrod’s Driving Grand Prix in Windsor, England, and the Cosequin/USET Pairs Championship at the Gladstone Driving Event. He is the youngest driver ever to win the USET Championship.

An alternate for the 1995 World Pairs Championship, Weber also won all three phases of the 1995 Fair Hill Advanced Pair Classic and earned the Fiona Baan Memorial Trophy. That same year, he was also victorious in the USET Advanced Pairs Division at Middletown Pony Club.
