Internationally Renowned Steffen Peters Featured In Fall Dressage Symposium

International competitor, clinician and trainer, Steffen Peters, and Janet Foy, FEI “I” judge and clinician, will conduct a two-day symposium, “Dressage Through the Levels,” Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19-20, Bristol, Wisconsin (north of the Illinois border).

Steffen Peters and Janet Foy will work with riders and their horses to help achieve correct dressage basics and balance at all the levels, from Training through Grand Prix.? Stephen Peters and Janet Foy will demonstrate and explain dressage training exercises from both the rider and judge’s perspective.

Peters made history for the United States when he earned two individual Bronze Medals at the 2010 ALLTECH World Equestrian Games at the Kentucky Horse Park. He is our top internationally competitive rider, having participated in Olympics and World Games. Peters is an active competitor who is currently focusing on the 2012 Olympics in London. He is also in high-demand as a clinician.

Most recently, Foy was director of dressage at the ALLTECH World Equestrian Games where she managed the television and online coverage. She is an Federation Equestrian International (FEI) “I” judge, United States Equestrian Federation “S” dressage judge and a sport horse “R” breeding judge. She is also a popular clinician, working with horses and riders of all levels.

A trade fair will also be held during the symposium featuring clothing, tack, feed and other equine-related products and services.

Two USDF University credits are available to attendees.

The symposium is sponsored by the Wisconsin Dressage Combined Training Association (WDCTA), the oldest and largest dressage organization in Wisconsin and a charter member of the United States Dressage Federation.

Riders are needed to demonstrate each dressage level over the two days. Riders must participate for both days. Deadline for receiving rider applications is Saturday noon, Oct. 1.
