Saddlebred World Loses ASHA Member Joe Louis Cloud Sr.

Longtime American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) and USEF, member, Joe Louis Cloud Sr., of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Saturday August 6, peacefully at his home, at the age of 74. Joe Cloud was an avid horse lover and a member of ASHA, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), and the United Professional Horseman's Assocation. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

August 11, 2011-? Longtime American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA), USEF, member, Joe Louis Cloud Sr., of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Saturday August 6, peacefully at his home, at the age of 74.

Cloud was born October 9, 1936 to the late George and Ellen (Enzer) Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Connie (Tinker) Comegy of Jackson Mississippi; and siblings Ruby Letcher and George (June) Cloud of Danville, Kentucky also Irvin Ellis of Atlanta, Georgia. He is survived by his children: Crissenda Jewel Cloud of Xenia, Ohio, Allison Rhodes of Columbus, Ohio, Joe L. Cloud Jr. of Xenia, Thomas S. (Veronica) Cloud of Xenia, Robert W.G. Cloud of Xenia, and Jackson Quinn of Springboro; sisters: Betty Jean Holland, and Jewel Mays. Cloud is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe Cloud was an avid horse lover and a member of ASHA, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), and the United Professional Horseman’s Association. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 990 Old Springfield Pike, Xenia, Ohio 45385. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of the service. A Reception will follow immediately after the service in the Fellowship Hall and all are invited to attend. Services are in care of McColaugh Funeral Home Inc.
