Welles, Armani Replaced at CHIO Aachen

Jeffery Welles and Armani will not participate in the CHIO Aachen competition due to injury.

June 24, 2008 — Will Simpson and El Campeon’s Carlsson vom Dach will replace Jeffery Welles and Armani at the CHIO Aachen July 1-6, 2008.

Due to an injury sustained by Armani, Welles has regretfully withdrawn Armani from the Show Jumping Selection Process for the 2008 Olympic Games. Armani, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, is owned by Kimmel Yeagar Equine and Triton Ventures.

The following rider/horse combinations will compete at CHIO Aachen:

  • Laura Kraut and Cedric
  • Anne Kursinski and Champ 163
  • Beezie Madden and Authentic
  • Will Simpson and El Campeon’s Carlsson vom Dach
  • McLain Ward and Sapphire
