As the first women to be ranked world number one in jumping (2005), Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum is a reference for women jumpers everywhere. Hard work and dedication have enabled her to remain at the top of this most demanding of disciplines. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum?s deep understanding of horses is one of her greatest strengths and it has put her among the world?s top riders with two challenging horses, Shutterfly and Checkmate.

The finest success of her career came in 2005 at the FEI World Cup??? Final in Las Vegas, where she claimed victory on Shutterfly. This was a huge personal triumph marking, not only her first individual victory in a major event, but also the first victory for a woman since 1987.

In 2006,?Michaels-Beerbaum took two bronze medals, team and individual, at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen. She finished fifth at the 2006 FEI World Cup??? Final in Kuala Lumpur, and in 2007 she became FEI European Champion riding Shutterfly. In Gothenburg in April 2008, she won a second World Cup Final and achieved her third victory, again on Shutterfly, at the 2009 Rolex FEI World Cup??? Final in Las Vegas.

Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum is married to international jumper Markus Beerbaum.
