Let the flames begin! The passing of the Olympic torch began in Greece, site of the 1896 Olympics, on May 17, with a royal handoff to Great Britain’s Princess Anne, who rode in the 1976 Montreal Olympics for Team GBR and is currently president of the British Olympic Association. The flame is now touring Great Britain. Princess Anne’s daughter, 2006 eventing World Champion Zara Phillips, is still a candidate for the British team. (LOCOG Getty Images photo)
