Rob McKay, BVSc(Dist), DACVIM, PhD, is a professor at the University of Florida in the departments of Large Animal Clinical Sciences and Large Animal Internal Medicine. Amy L. Johnson, DVM, DACVIM (LAIM & Neurology) is an Assistant Professor of Large Animal Medicine and Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. She received her DVM from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and performed an internship at B.W. Furlong and Associates in Oldwick, New Jersey. Subsequently, she completed two residency programs, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Large Animal Internal Medicine (Cornell, 2007) and Neurology (University of Pennsylvania, 2011). Monica Aleman, MZV, PhD, DACVIM, in an Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of California, Davis, College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her MZV (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) in 1991 from the Autonomous University of Mexico, her PhD In Comparative Pathology in 2004 from UC Davis, and her DACVIM in 2013. She received her PhD in neuromuscular disorders in equines and has completed two residency programs (Large Animal Internal Medicine – equine emphasis; and Neurology/Neurosurgery).
